Report Design
A Project of the National Center for Primary Care at Morehouse School of Medicine called Transforming the Health Outcomes of Disproportionately Affected Communities Beyond COVID-19.
The NCPC shared a Google Doc with me with all of the copy and the type of diagrams they needed to be designed. I created a visually appealing document for them in InDesign. I designed the layouts, sourced stock images, designed diagrams, and organized the copy into a 24-page report.
Making suggestions
Before starting the design process, I examined The NCPC's previous report documents. This was to maintain their style and brand identity. They used the header font for the body, but I found it hard to read. So, I suggested switching to Helvetica for better readability while keeping the header font for consistency.
Readability
To ensure that the reader is not overwhelmed with bulky text on a serious topic, I strived to make each page of text easily digestible. I sought out methods that would present the information in an appealing manner without detracting from the core message being communicated.
Triple-checking
Given the substantial amount of text I had to work with and the significance of including every detail, I diligently reviewed my work multiple times to verify that I had successfully incorporated all the content from the original document into my design.
